In celebration of National Soccer Day, Toyota and partner, For Soccer, recognize and honor two young soccer players from the Houston area who exemplify the spirit of endurance, both on and off the pitch. Natalie Gómez and Dylan Emiliano Muñoz Garcia, two standout players from Houston Soccer Centro FC will receive a scholarship from Toyota to be used toward club or educational fees.
Selected through Alianza de Futbol, the leading national soccer platform for Hispanic communities in the U.S, the scholarships provided to these athletes will help reduce the financial barriers that often limit access to the game for many youth.
As the official automotive sponsor of the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup Tournament, the brand hosted these young athletes and their families at the final match between Mexico and the United States earlier this month, during which they highlighted the two players on the field in front of tens of thousands of fans to celebrate their passion for the game and their unstoppable spirit.
A group of athletes from Special Olympics Texas, a longtime Toyota partner, was also invited to the final game. The Goose Creek team and their families visited the Toyota Fútbol Club activation fan area and received special recognition on the Jumbotron during halftime.
Toyota has been involved in the beautiful game for more than a decade, through partnerships with organizations like Concacaf – this marked Toyota’s fifth consecutive year as the automotive sponsor of the Gold Cup tournament – and community soccer groups like Alianza de Futbol. This community initiative forms an integral part of Toyota’s commitment to soccer, from taking kids from soccer clubs to tournament games to providing equipment donations, making it possible for kids, coaches, and fans to continue enjoying and playing soccer.
