Soccer is a cultural cornerstone of Hispanic communities worldwide. As the popularity of the sport continues to grow, understanding the fandom of Hispanics is paramount.
But as one of the fastest-growing populations in the United States, gaining insight into what resonates with Hispanics on and off the field is crucial – that is where the Allstate Sueño Alianza report comes in.
WHAT DOES OUR SUEÑO REPORT PROVIDE?
Allstate Sueño Alianza – part of the For Soccer-owned Alianza de Futbol program – is a youth talent identification program deeply embedded in Hispanic communities across the country. In 2023, over 4,000 players joined us in eight markets to showcase their talent to scouts from U.S. Soccer, the Mexican Football Federation, Liga MX, MLS, and MLS NEXT.
During each event, we surveyed Sueño participants ages 16-19 to better understand their soccer and non-soccer interests. This report offers a glimpse into these results, providing a comprehensive portrait of the interests and habits surrounding the daily lives of Hispanic teenagers.
From the soccer teams and players that are most popular, to the off-the-field aspects of life that are enjoyed, the Sueño report uncovers the passions and influences that permeate the lives of this noteworthy group.
