Verizon is a committed supporter of the growth of soccer and identified the opportunity to engage new audiences through the UEFA Champions League platform created by rightsholders CBS Sports and Paramount+. As part of our work with Paramount+ as their global soccer agency, we were tasked with developing a compelling branded content series which highlighted Verizon’s industry-leading 5G technology and connected their brand to the domestic and global soccer narrative as part of their post-game show sponsorship.
The next generation of athletes are innovating how they train, play, and influence the game through the use of technology, which is changing how we as fans now view the modern game.
That forward-thinking, innovative approach to the sport closely aligns to Verizon’s position as a leader in developing cutting-edge technology and communication solutions. Through a unique techie lens, we can highlight the fine details of elite performance and celebrate how players and fans are taking the game to the next level.
We developed and produced the Verizon Next Level branded content series (60+ episodes and counting) with broadcast integrations each UEFA Champions League match day including an on-air intro by host Kate Abdo and distributed across social platforms.
We focused casting on players and fans leveling up the North American game, including the USMNT’s Tyler Adams and Kellyn Acosta, USWNT stars Trinity Rodman and Midge Purce, legends like Hector Moreno and Cobi Jones, fan storytellers like Men In Blazer’s Roger Bennett, grassroots organizations like Venice Beach FC, and more.
